Kyra started a new job in August working for the city of Farmington. She's a referee for our local soccer league a couple nights a week, and then does chains for the football games every once in awhile. Her first day was truly a good experience: she was yelled at by both soccer coaches at the same time! One coach didn't bother telling her or the opposing coach that she had an addl player on the field, and the other coach just thought that Kyra should be noticing and counting players all the time. The coaches yelled at each other first, and then turned on Kyra. I have no idea why the coach "in the wrong" decided to turn on Kyra, but she did. Why they needed to be yelling when the game had obviously been stopped is beyond me. Did they think Kyra was deaf? I don't know. Anger management, people. Get a grip! This is local kids' soccer, no money involved. We're talking everyone-gets-a-trophy-at-the-end-of-the-season soccer. I'm glad I wasn't there.....my Mama bear instincts are pretty strong. Kyra is learning a lot about what NOT to do when she coaches her own kids' teams.

Hi Kyra. Way to go on the coaching job. How long does soccer season last? Don't let any overgrown, grumpy old men yell at you or try to boss you around. You're the ref and what you say "stands". Hope your enjoying school so far this year. I'm sure you are.
