All that's missing is a pitchfork, huh? Adam and Kyra participated in a youth Pioneer Trek this past June, complete with authentic/look-alike clothing and handcarts. For four days, they role-played the handcart pioneers somewhere in the middle of Wyoming, covering I don't know how many miles, pulling handcarts laden with supplies -- I'll have to have Adam edit this obviously. They were each put into separate "families" with a Ma and a Pa. This enriching experience deepened their testimonies of the "faith of our fathers," and helped them sample a very small portion of what sacrifices the original handcart pioneers must have experienced. Actually, the more I write, the more it seems that their own voices would be more suited and appropriate to this post, so....stay tuned.
